THERAPEUTIC
MENTORING FOR TEENS
This program is
designed to help families whose child has a diagnosable
disorder. Children and adolescents with attention
difficulties, behavioral concerns, social skill deficits, and
emotional or other psychological issues are appropriate for
this program. An intensive, community-based therapy process is
created as a way to reach children and adolescents who are
resistant to traditional psychotherapy or for whom traditional
psychotherapy has either been ineffective or has reached a
plateau. Therapeutic mentoring is based on the model that the
therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the child
or adolescent and their family is the most significant element
of the healing process. Therapeutic mentoring is provided by
trained professional therapists. The cost is $85 per hour for
services provided by master's level therapists and $100 per
hour for services provided by doctoral level licensed
psychologists. It is reimbursable by most insurance companies.
